The health of your childcare provider

Home childcare providers have different requirement in every province but generally they are required to have regular vaccinations. Inspections are also carried out to ensure the physical and mental health of childcare providers (in addition to the safety of her home environment, more below).

• proper first-aid supplies must be in the home

Conduct a visit of the childcare providers home before agreeing to use his or her services. Or, if possible ask for references or speak with other parents who's children she also takes care of.
