Shaelyn, childcare provider in Victoria south

I am a twenty-two year old, female International Relations student. I live in Oak Bay in Victoria British Columbia. I completed One and a half years of nursing school before I decided to switch degrees. I have experience through my nursing schooling taking care of others. I also used to work at a children's clothing store and have babysitting experience. I love working with children. I participated in many sports and leadership programs throughout my schooling and would be happy to play with children or help them in school. Last summer I worked as a house cleaner and would be willing to clean up around the house. I just came back from a year studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. This experience has taught me a lot about living and working with many diverse people. I volunteered once a week for a year teaching underprivileged children English in the Townships (poorer neighborhoods) in Cape Town. I learnt a lot about working with children through this experience. It was great to see the children learning and at the end of each lesson we spent time with the kids playing games and giving them the adult interaction that they do not always get at home.
