Presentation

Dear Family,

I am a caring, nurturing, reliable Nanny looking for a live-out long-term childcare position in the Greater Vancouver area.

During my 30 rewarding years working in childcare, I have cared for children between the ages of infant to 10 years with extensive experience caring for toddlers and preschoolers. I also have experience caring for twins and autistic children.
My primary focus as a Nanny is to give quality childcare by providing a happy and safe environment for children while helping them to develop physically, mentally and socially. I like to expose children to many different activities and encourage them to try new things while guiding them and letting them explore at their own pace. I enjoy and promote outdoor recreation as well as fun, creative and learning activities such as reading, playing games, listening to music, nature walks, visits to the library, swimming, skating, arts and crafts, outings to parks and playgrounds, and various activities at the local community centre.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I look forward to hearing from you to discuss your childcare needs.

Rusty has been a nanny for our three sons (now ages 5+, 7+, and 9+) for about 5 years. She started when our eldest son was 20 months, and quickly became an important member of our family. She was akin to the governess for our sons: cultivating good cleaning up habits by being firm and patient with the boys; encouraging them to read by taking them to library story times and reading to them; as well as teaching them to respect people and things by modelling the behaviour for them. Rusty is professional and reliable. She is never late and would let me know ahead of them if there were unexpected delays. I feel completely at ease leaving my children in her care and we always maintain an open communication. She is frank to let me know if the children were hurt and we share ideas on how to improve the children's well-being. The parents at the playground and coordinators at playgroups always tell me that she is an excellent nanny. She is onboard with all energy and enthusiasm and my children have been very happy under her care. They continue with their good habits formed with Rusty and have grown into well-behaved children in school. They still miss her and ask about her every now and them. Our family has been very privileged to have her as part of our family and we highly recommend her to any family!

We employed Rusty from November, 2001 through August, 2007 for our son. She looked after him for 8.5 to 9 hours a day from when he was one year old through to age six, which is when he started elementary school full-time. We found her to be extraordinarily punctual, reliable, and conscientious. Rusty is an excellent caregiver and relates very well with children of all ages with a kind, calm, and patient demeanor. She is healthy and active and likes to keep children busy. I particularly appreciate how good she is at getting children outside for physical activity like walks, trips to the library, and play time at the playground. She would prepare healthy meals and snacks and follow a consistent schedule. She is excellent at monitoring milestones and promoting positive development in children, such as helping them understand what good manners are. She listens and encourages. She also takes excellent photographs! When I asked my son what he missed most about Rusty, he said, "Her voice. And how she looked after me." I only have positive recommendations for Rusty. She is an asset to any parent. I attribute much of my son's good behavior and love of reading to Rusty's care.

We met and hired Rusty through a nanny agency to help with our 11 month old twins. She work for us for 18 months. She was really great with our children and always kept them pretty busy, with lots of outdoor activities, reading, music and games. She was very caring, considerate and organized. I would say she was part of the family. We met and hired Rusty through a nanny agency to help with our 11 month old twins. She work for us for 18 months.
