Hi there!
We are looking for a nanny for our son around the time he turns 5 months old in mid-March as I will be returning to work in April. I am looking for full-time (40 hours). I am particularly looking for someone who genuinely adores kids, who is creative, and who is familiar with the positive parenting method. Must be First Aid trained and infant CPR certified (within the past 2 years). Experience and references with young children is also a must.
I will be going back to work, but I work from home, so I will often be around the house and available. I need someone I can trust to spend those moments with my son, engaging him, giving him lots of love, and sticking to our routine as much as possible. I would love for you to spend time outdoors with him when the weather permits, and attend free activities in the neighbourhood whenever possible. That said, I don't believe in overstimulating my kids and having every hour of the day accounted for. We fully support some relaxed days mixed with some busy days.
Depending on the hours we agree on, you may also help me with my 4-year-old son when he comes home from daycare, but you will not be expected to be home alone with both kids at once unless otherwise discussed in advance. My husband and/or I will be home once my eldest gets home from daycare.
Priority is definitely childcare, but during the day when the baby is napping and my eldest is at daycare, I will have household tasks to be completed, such as cleaning and cooking.
We are a super warm family and we're not just looking to hire someone to clock in and out -- we're looking for someone who we will welcome as part of our family. Respect, honesty, authenticity and trust are super important values to us and we're hoping to find a nanny who shares those values. Communication is also very important to us -- we want to work with you to make sure we're always on the same page and happy with the situation.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Marlee
