A little about us:

Hi we are Frances and Andrew, and Addison. We are moving to Fort St. John this May and in search of a full-time nanny able to care for Addison. Frances will be starting her medical residency training this July and Andrew is currently in the military.

In our family we believe in respect, communication and empathy at the heart of our family values. We approach parenting in any situation from the perspective of connecting first with kindness, and then helping Addison to understand her emotions and modelling healthy ways for her to express herself. We believe in encouraging curiosity and letting Addison discover the world through experiences.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a nanny with similar values and who would be able to commit to at least one year working with us.

Your childcare responsibilities would include:
- Playing with Addison, taking her on outings, and to any arranged playgroups
- Dressing, diaper changes, tooth brushing, general personal hygiene as part of the morning routine
- Meal preparation of healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks
- Settling Addison for naps on an age appropriate schedule
- Caring for Addison when she is sick

We are interested in someone who is also able to do some additional light housekeeping tasks:
- Tidy Addison’s toys and belongings after use
- Make Addison’s bed
- One load of laundry of Addison’s clothes, linens, and towels per week
- Tidy up the kitchen after breakfast, lunch and snack preparation for Addison
- Unpack the family dishwasher each morning

Our home is able to accommodate a live-in nanny if this is something you are interested in. There would be no cost for room and board, and you would be provided with a private, locking bedroom and bathroom of your own.

Regardless of whether you would prefer to work as a live-in or live-out nanny, we would be looking for a minimum commitment of 12 months for Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm.

Summary Details:
- Live-in nanny (room & board covered), or Full-time live out nanny (living expenses not covered)
- 1 yr commitment minimum
- Rate: $17/hour
- Bonus: $1000 annual personal wellness stipend to be spent on personal travel/gym membership/ski hill pass etc.
- Minimum Required Hours: M-F 7am - 3pm
- Minimum certifications:
- up to date CPR
- current driver’s license
- Approximate start date: mid-June 2023
