Jana, baby sitter - T8A Sherwood park west

My name is Jana, I'm from a household of 7 and the youngest. My mother-tongue is Tagalog. I moved to Canada when I was 10, and so I'm more exposed to the way of living here instead of my home country, the Philippines.

My only experience with children is with my cousins and a family friend's daughter. I would help them with homework, play games and sometimes video games, watch films, read, etc.

I have a VCR and VHS tapes with Disney films to entertain kids with "vintage" items, but I can also connect with them with modernized technology. I also have a ukulele that I can entertain them with, if much so they're interested. I can play the piano and sing, some may say soothing for sleep, maybe goes with reading to bed, haven't tried but there's always a first for everything. I can do crafts, with instructions only, I'm a by-the-book kinda gal. My ability to cook is minimal that I can probably just cook breakfast types, even for dinner, I can do instructed frozen foods too. I also act, so I can make different voices if that's your child's interest when playing role play.

In school, I received Honour Rolls from 7th grade-11th grade, (12th grade is undetermined yet). I was in an off-schedule class where I made costumes for plays, so I am moderate in sewing. I took French as a Second Language ever since 6th grade, and I have gotten over 90s for the majority of the years, so if your child has FSL class, or anything 2nd grade level French homework, I may have the ability to help. I'm fairly good in Math and Science which are my two favourite subjects, that I can also help with. There's a slight chance I may be able to help with English and Social, but I highly suggest you do not rely on me with your child's homework for those subjects.

I'm a fresh graduate from high school and I'm looking for a time passer before I go to University of Alberta this fall. I may also need the extra cash for any necessary needs for my major and such.

I'm described as intimidating at first, but they say that after a while they realize I'm such a softie. I may have a scary face but when I'm with kids my voice goes tiny.

If you have any animals, I'm very fine with that as I love animals. Pugs are a favourite, however any cats or dogs, even fishes or birds, I'm accepting of any. I do not have allergies of any kind, so it would be fine with anything.
