Mariana, baby sitter à Saanich southeast

Hi there, my name is Mariana but you can call me Mai! Im a talkative, energetic high school student at Reynolds with a passion for working with children. Im a certified BC lifeguard in the lengthy process of being hired at Commonwealth pool so for the summer i’m looking to do the job I love most! I have babysat for four families over the span of a couple years in the past with children ages 2-8. More recently however, I was a swim instructor at Gordon Head Recreation Centre with Pacific Coast swimming for one year from 2019-2020. In this position I had the opportunity to work with dozens of children ages 3-11 years old to teach swimming safety, techniques and strokes. I myself was a very competitive swimmer for 5 years reaching junior olympic trial level just as coronavirus first hit. With that said I would be happy to take the kiddos to the pool for some lessons during our time together! In my free time i love to swim, play guitar, do yoga, read, and hang out with my chickens!

EXPERIENCE:

I do not have any experience working with children with disabilities but I am patient and a fast learner.
