Aulona, garde d’enfant à Ottawa (lower town / sandy hill / university of ottawa)

Hello! My name is Aulona. I'm currently a Carleton University student. I'm looking for part time babysitting care for children 2yr+
I don't have any professional experience but I have helped take care of and raise 9 nieces and nephews ranging in newborn to 13 years. My nieces and nephews would describe me as their "cool, fun aunt". I love helping them with homework, listening to their stories, creating new games to play with them. The one thing I'm a stickler for is electronics. I find that my nieces and nephews in particular are too involved and obsessed with their ipads and video games and computers. I try to make them read, draw or create a game to play for a few hours a day instead of constantly being on their devices. We compromise so that they have a balance of each. My siblings tend to give them too much freedom when it comes to choices regarding what they watch, what they eat etc and I'm usually the one who has to remind them that they can't eat certain things before a proper meal or that the way they're treating each other is not appropriate or kind. I really try to be the aunt who teaches them something that their parents might not. I love my nieces and nephews, they are all unique children and I've learned so much from helping take care of each one of them from the time they are born to now.
