Good morning,
My name is Shelly and i went to Seneca Collage for early childhood education. I was a few credits short of graduating as i was getting married and starting a new business with my husband. I have worked in quite a few daycare centers as well as a couple of public schools with JK/SK aged children. I program and meal planned for the daycare aged children on a regular basis. Working with children there is a wide variety of actives that are necessary for healthy growth of a child. cognitive, fine and gross motor skills, science, crafts, cooking/baking and reading. Out door activities are also important as fresh air and sunshine boost our everyday feelings of the world around us. I balance fun, educational activities with periods of rest and relaxation to balance out a fun and productive day. I have worked with children of all ages as well as volunteered with disabled children at CARD (Canadian Assoc Riding for the Disabled) for two years.
