My name is Karen and I am a university student in the faculty of education. I have always been good with children and they have always been a passion of mine. I have been babysitting for years and have worked with many different ages and types of children including special needs. I am a swimming instructor and in the past I have taught swimming to the children I babysit. References will be given upon request.
I have also worked at a camp where I have developed a lot of skills that go beyond just babysitting children.
I plan to open a child learning centre in the future, but until I get the qualifications and money I plan to babysit and spend as much of my time with kids as I can.
Some activities that I use when I am babysitting are
- painting/drawing
-arts and crafts
-dancing
-lots of different games
-swimming
-fun snacks and basic cooking
-seeing animals (if applicable)
-incorporating music
-outside activities
These activities vary and are bound to change depending on the job.

I try to have fun with the kids but also get them to learn and think.
