Megan, nourrice à domicile à Victoria north

Hi there! My name is Megan. I am twenty years old and I am currently completing my second year at the University of Victoria in the faculty of writing. With experience as a camp counsellor, dance teacher, and team leader of a Reading Buddies program, I have numerous experiences working with kids, and I am passionate about offering fun, safe, and engaging activities to all children, and to make sure every child feels valued.

Creativity is incredibly important to me. As a painter, sculptor, drawer, and writer in my free time, I love to lead arts and crafts and offer guidance. I am also an avid reader and with an expansive knowledge of children's literature from working in a Reading Buddies program, and reading aloud is one of my favourite activities! The importance of imagination, and fostering environments in which children feel safe to explore and be themselves, is integral to my philosophy of childcare. The excitement and adventure with which children see the world should be supported, and I am playful and fun and love to help kids be themselves and feel safe and supported while doing so.

I also have experience with activities such as yoga and dance, and being an active young adult I can lead children in physical activities as well to burn off some of that energy and enjoy the world. Combining movement and problem solving, I have a repertoire of games and activities to keep every child engaged.

But most importantly, I aim to foster kindness and engagement with the world in every child. I believe this can be achieved through compassionate relationships and understanding.

I am seeking either full-time or part-time caregiving positions, and I am also more than willing to help around the house.
