Janna, nourrice - V1N Castlegar

Good day!

My name is Janna, I am a passionate and energetic Certified Life Skills Coach and Doula who is working towards certification for Prenatal Yoga Instructing as well as Breastfeeding Educator Certification.

I am relocating from SK to Castlegar BC in March to offer nanny support to a wonderful family. The needs of the family are quite minimal and so I am looking to fill up my days with some more cool kidlets to hang out with!

I am in love with nature and being active, a motivated self driven learner, I play the baritone ukulele, guitar and some banjo, an avid artist (drawing, carving, jewellery making) and am working towards becoming fluent in french (Ottawa/Hull born, raised partially bilingual). I have experience in program development and implementation, participated in online learning sessions on childhood development and behavior, and I love learning games and creating learning opportunities.

My work background is in social services and advocacy. In such positions I was perpetually working with individuals who had a lack of support in early life. I quickly began to notice a need for preventative support during pregnancy and post partum to promote healthy foundations upon which solid relationships can be built. I very passionately understand the importance of positive supportive role models in early life and how that impacts sense of self and issues in later life. I actively strive to be such a positive role model to every child I interact with.
