As a devoted and loving child-care provider, I have had 6 years of experience working with children between the ages of 6 months to 12 yrs old as a supplementary career throughout high-school and into a post-secondary education in Adventure Based Counseling. Having worked with several families in a variety of settings, which includes farm environments, homeschooling, suburban homes, and international travel as an au pair in Beijing, China, my repertoire of skills has grown to include homework assistance, extracurricular supervision (swimming, sports, rockwall climbing), home care/janitorial cleaning, and meal preparation.

With a friendly and outgoing personality, I often employ my background as a homeschool student and an adventure based counselor to infuse the child's day with fun, creativity, and imagination through library visits and reading sessions, music, arts and crafts, and outdoor explorations; and as a result, I was commended by my au pair agency as one of the best they had ever had in their internship program. Additionally, I have also received extensive 1st Aid, Wilderness 1st Aid, CPR, and Life saving training through my University program, as well as instruction in health, wellness, and counseling.

My work availability through the week is very flexible, and I am able to provide my own reliable source of transportation, as well as a clean Criminal Record Check. I am also very comfortable with pets (my family has had dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, fish, and even goats!) and I am willing to accompany the child to and from school and medical appointments.
