My name is Hannah . I am a twenty year old college student, currently enrolled in the Child and Youth Care program. Working with youth has always been a passion of mine. In the past year of my program, I had the opportunity to work with two separate placements. One with a public school for young children, the other a residential center for youth. Each has taught me so much about how to give the best care, to the youth I work with. I love to program and create, new and fun ways for kids to learn through activities, stories and so much more. I love to teach about more than such academics (which I also hold at a very high regard). I have worked in supporting kids and youth, and understand boundaries and how to use interventions to help kids better communicate their needs, without using negative behaviors. I believe in a strength based approach, when working with youth. I focus on the positive aspects and attributes they have and use those as stepping stones to new learning. I love working with youth, and I hope that my style of care and dedication will appeal to you and your family. Hannah
