My name is Amelia and I have been providing daycare in my home located in Gananoque for just over one year. Prior to running a daycare out of my home I worked as a Personal Support Worker for 9 years providing extensive care to seniors. I am a mother to three wonderful children ages 8, 6 1/2 and 2 1/2. I can honestly say I have had so much fun getting to know so many little ones and I have grown close to the children I have in my care. We do daily crafts, I love being able to read to the children and make up little stories with them. Watching the children use their imaginations when playing or doing dress up is always so fun. We spend lots of time outside playing and going to the local parks. I provide a very clean and safe environment to all children in my care as well as a large play room and a nice cozy room for quiet time.
I typically charge anywhere between $5-$7 an hour when providing care. I feel as though my rates are comparable to most sitters as well as daycare providers. My rates also help cover the cost of crafts and other activities I provide for the children.
