Rebecca, nourrice à Sooke

My name is Rebecca, I am 29 years old and have recently moved out to Sooke. I have grown up in Victoria where my parents have been foster parents for the last 23 years. Growing up in a household with my siblings as well as with children between the ages of 2 weeks to 6 years, coming and going has given me a unique perspective on child care. Most of the foster kids my parents care for are born with a mental disability due to alcohol or drugs. This has given me an understanding that each child has individual needs and learning characteristics which takes patience and compassion, of which I have both. I myself am dyslexic and needed additional support when I was in school and can relate to different learning styles. I have worked as a hairdresser and the food industry as I studied both in depth through secondary schooling. My partner and I have two large dogs and love the outdoors and exploring.
