Hello! My name is Varia and I am a recent graduate from the University of Toronto with a degree in Science.
I have been passionate about working with children for a long time and have been doing so for years. For two summers, I worked in a camp where I counselled children attending the camp for one week overnight sessions. I also volunteered in a children's hospital where I helped children and their families adapt to the hospital environment. I have also tutored/counselled high school aged youth in a high risk Toronto community. Lastly, I have been a Sunday school teacher where I supervised children while their parents attended the church service. During this time, I played games with the children, taught lessons and fed the children. I hold a current CPC "C" and First Aid certificate.
All in all, my experiences have been very diverse and I am able to work with children of any age group. I would prefer a live-out full time position that I am able to transport to daily using public transport.
