My name is Joy, I am a person who always have a lot of energy. I am physically active and live a healthy lifestyle. I'm currently in University, studying Law&Society and minoring in Psychology. Before this, I was in school for Behavioural Sciences, where we did study children of all ages and their milestones. I also got a chance to be in a school setting with grade 1 students and help out their teacher with activities, homework and such. I am a very happy, upbeat person, I love working with children. I used to be a camp counsellor at the YWCA in Hamilton for two years. I love to sing so the kids always called me 'Radio' as a nick name.
Most of my experience with children is through caring for family or friends' kids. I'm looking for any type of child care, whether it be just picking up and dropping off your child from school, taking care of them in a home setting.
I am an excellent cook, if I can say so myself and I have been told so. I clean as well, I am the oldest girl in my family so that's something that just comes naturally to me.
I have a lot of patience, which we all know comes in handy when working with children of all ages. Depending on the age of the child that I am taking care of, I would play different games with them.
