I am almost done my 3rd year at Lakehead University for Concurrent Education P/J (Teaching). My experience with children continues to grow as I have plenty of experience in many different environments. I have babysat since I was 12 years old. I have volunteered as a Mini Tyke Soccer Coach and as a Can-skate assistant. I have also been a babysitter for a resort. I have volunteered several times at a public school working with children in grade 1 and also children with special needs. For the past two summers I have worked at a day camp where I was the Senior Camp Counsellor. Some of my duties as Senior Camp Counsellor were to prepare and run activities, be in contact with the parents, prepare snacks, clean up camp area and ensure the area was safe, ensure campers are having fun etc! At camp, we sing songs, make crafts, play games, go to the splash pad, go on trips, scavenger hunts, puzzles, etc! I have thoroughly enjoyed all of these experiences and believe they have all helped me become the childcare provider I am today. Overall, I have cared for children from ages 1-12.
