Elana, nourrice à domicile à Kimberley V1A

My name is Elana . I was born and raised in Penticton, BC and have recently moved to Kimberley to live with my long term boyfriend. I have a lot experience with children; I have 13 younger cousins, many of which I have taken care of for weeks at a time during their infancy and early childhood. Also, I have been involved with government funded intuitions for disabled and special needs children. For the last 10 years I have been doing casual babysitting for family friends and colleague of my parents.

I am not the kind of person to sit on a couch and watch TV while tending to children. I pride myself in my involvement in a child's play and learning. I have plenty of fun and educational games! I am very energetic and live an active lifestyle (full of biking, hiking, walking, swimming) and I would love to share these kinds of experiences with children.

This past spring I graduated from UBCO with a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Biology. I know my education would be useful in tutoring children of any education level. In the past I have been a paid tutor for grade 2 (learning to read) and grade 12 (calculus, physics, biology, chemistry, math). I graduated from high school with a diploma in French, therefore I would love to teach children some aspects of the French language.

My future plans are to take the next 1-2 years off school, and then apply for Vet School, Med school and Accelerated Nursing.
