Abstracted medical data for the Barbados National Registry and collected data for the incidence of cardiovascular disease in Barbados.
Planned and coordinated the 11th Annual Barbados National Registries Cancer Seminar on The Management of Female Genital Systems Cancer.
Co-authored 2 research papers on i) incidents of cardiovascular disease and ii) length of stay in the ICU for cardiovascular patients which is in the process of being published.

Position: Receptionist/Information Booth Navigator
Duties:
In an emergency/crisis environment, provided support to both patients and family who are distressed and disoriented.
Provided clerical support by ensuring information was filed accurately and timely, responding to telephone and fax inquiries in prompt, courteous and efficient manner and collecting medical information from patients for registration purposes.

Duties:

WORK EXPERIENCE:

2016 Marketplace Dental Centre – Georgetown, Ontario
Position: Administrator (Temporary)
Duties:
Managing the appointment schedule using AbelDent software for the resident Dentist and 5 Hygienist in an office that operates 6 days/weekly by contacting patients and ensuring their appointments are within the necessary timeframes for particular service coverage.
Contacting insurance providers to verify benefits coverage, co-insurance entitlements and pre-determination estimates.
Greet, check-in and verify patients’ information on file to ensure accurate and thorough update of information on file.
Collect payment for services not covered by insurance, balance cash and make daily bank deposits.
Filing, answering phones, scanning documents and other general administrative duties.

Position: Intake and Customer Service Associate (Part-Time)
Duties:
Assisting customers by responding to vision care inquiries both in person and by telephone.
Assisting the Optician by reviewing and verifying prescriptions if necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and that complaints are minimized, in particular, where customers are elderly/disable.
On Sundays, acted as Manager which entailed overseeing the operations and opening/closing the store.
