Jasmine, gardienne d'enfants - B2N Truro

Hi there!

My name is Jasmine , and I am a Acadia University Graduate (as of May!). I majored in Sociology, and minored in Kinesiology, and am planning on doing my Education degree in the fall!

I have worked with children of all ages, in different sporting and after school programs. I run an after school program for middle school aged girls, helping them to foster a positive relationship with physical activity, and aiding them in achieving their fitness, and health goals!

I have also worked at the Pisiquid Canoe Club for the past 8 summers, working with children ages 4-16. Within this program, I run the participants through fitness activities, canoe/kayak practice, dryland games, yoga, as well as swimming activities. I work with children of all ages, but last summer worked directly with 8-year-old boys (I coached 38 of them), and we had an absolute blast! They're super high energy, but they were amazing to work with!

I also played volleyball at the Canada Games and Provincial levels, and have coached numerous teams, with ages ranging from 5-18. I also helped run a satellite program for Volleyball Canada, outlining athletes who could potentially play for the national team when they are of age. This program was so rewarding, and the athletes were also so motivated and were such hard workers.

I understand that leaving your child in someones care is a huge responsibility, and do not take that lightly. Over my years of experience with children, I have learned how to take care of children in a fun, yet responsible way, making sure they are always enjoying themselves, but also always making sure they're safe!
