We are looking for French speaking nanny for our son 3, and daughter 5 years old, for September (school year). Work schedule will be 1 hour in the morning 7 to 8 am, to get the kids ready for school and drop them off for the bus (4 blocs away from home). Then pick them up from the bus around 12 and care for them until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Our daughter might go full day kindergarten so that means another pick up from the bus around 3pm. My kids will go most days unless they are sick or having PD days, then we will need full day child care for these days. Dad works on 4 days-Off/4 days-On shift and have alternating day and night shifts, so complete discretion and quiet need to be during the day while he is sleeping/resting from his night shift. We need someone flexible as there may be 1 or 2 late nights per week where you would be required to be 'on-shift' until Mom returns around 7:00 pm. Accommodations for room and board might be worked out if you are interested at no cost. Only non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol. If you opt for the live-out option, then you will need your own transportation to my home.
Responsibilities include; All necessary care for our kids, including but not limited to : -cook nutritious meals, snacks, dinner prep would be nice but not required, we are not picky eaters and love all cultures of food, general safety and wellbeing of our children - assist with homework. - take care of our home as if your own while you’re staying there. diapers and potty, active play (parks, walks, backyard) bathing, reading stories, children's play/crafting/teaching, helping with toy clean up, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize activities such as games and outings for children), help to dress - light housework (cleaning, laundry, sweeping, mopping , vacuuming, dishes, keep grocery list).
A clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check, A clear Child Abuse Registry/Intervention Record Check References Required, Early Childhood Education experiences would be considered an asset.
Education : Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
