Hi! We are looking for a long-term, full-time or near full-time (Monday-Friday office hours) nanny for our 4-year old son and 8-month old daughter.

They are happy, curious and affectionate children, and we are committed to providing a respectful and pleasant work environment. Our 4-year old son enjoys playing outside and biking, story time, puzzles, and is able to play independently for reasonably long stretches. He is very protective and caring towards his baby sister, which makes it easier to manage both at the same time. Our son usually spends 1-3 days a week at his grandparents' house, allowing time for the nanny to focus on the baby. We also have a cat.

As parents, we aim to show respect for the children's interests and feelings while setting clear boundaries and an expectation of respect for others. We like to keep a good routine and an well-organised house.

We are located 5 minutes away from Westboro, right on the other side of the Champlain Bridge in Aylmer. We could provide a car for transportation if necessary.

We would like for our nanny to start in the course of the summer (either now or later). We still have some parental leave to take, which should help ensure a smooth transition to us both working from home full time in the Fall. The children have their playroom on the main floor and the parents will work from the basement, providing as much independence or support as you require.

We are looking for someone who takes the risks related to covid-19 seriously and is willing to commit to taking as much precautions as possible, as we aim to protect an at-risk person in our family and get through the current situation as serenely as we can. What this means exactly would have to be discussed and agreed together. We will provide any protection materials required for our nanny's activities outside the house, we will cover any grocery or other delivery fees to our nanny's residence, and could provide a car for transportation so that public transport can be avoided. The idea is to keep us all safe without incurring additional costs to you.

We are a French-speaking family but we (the parents) speak English fluently and our son is enthusiastic about learning English. We would prefer a nanny with at least some basic French but are happy to have them speak English (or another language) with the children.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience and education. CPP/QPP and EI contributions will be added.
