Channing, garde d'enfant à domicile - V2A Penticton

My name is Channing and I am a 26 yr old professional female. I have work experience in housekeeping/hospitality, finances/banking, insurances, management, retail, service, cooking, customer service and child mining. My spouse currently works out of town for work on a rotation and with an empty home for the better half of a month, other than the care of my two nieces or my step daughter on occasion, I find it to be extremely quiet and very unbearable. I absolutely love children! I love to join in on their wild adventures and inventive imaginations. The thought of being a part of how a child sees the world is very fulfilling to me. To be able to help them understand the world more clearly when it comes to the aiding in homework or even at play is extremely gratifying. Each child understands things differently whether they excel more in math and science or if they take more of an interest in their socials or English studies. It's very interesting and remarkable to see how each child gravitates towards their favorite studies and in turn I learn so much from them as well. Whether it be homework or playtime being a part of a childs mind is very special to me. I love feeling as if I'm "a part of their world" so to speak and it makes me feel like I'm part of " the cool club" (as my nephew states), when they let me play with them and become a part of the adventure they set upon when grabbing their favorite toy car, Barbie, airplane, or Dora the explorer toy. With every family there comes challenges when caring for their children. To say things are always perfect would be a lie. However, I do not believe in punishing a child in the form of ANY kind of physical abuse, yelling or anger. Every parent has their limit, but in no way will I EVER yell at or hit a child. These types of discipline are NOT how I treat my own family and I will NEVER leave such a negative imprint in the mind or on the body of ANY human being or animal! My methods of understanding children come with asking questions and offering options. I give them the floor in making a choice between the options and holding them accountable to that choice. Of course there are always consequences but I also speak to this in option format and allow them to decide what their consequences should be should they not uphold their end of the deal or should they misbehave. Very young ages test this method however understand it quite well once exercised. I never torment children as their minds are fragile and deserve to be treated as such. I dont use bribes but I often reward!! :D My rewards do not come in the form of treats or materials (unless the family permits), my rewards are in the form of activities such as stories or games if their choice, or a movie out of their favorite collection, colouring or acting out plays or girl or boy band! Things I used used to have fun doing with my siblings or friends from the neighborhood. If they let me I will even take part in the fun! Rewards are often given for something as simple as manners but are also given in recognition of their help in wanting to cook or clean up, perhaps stop a sibling argument or take the lead in entertaining their siblings while I complete other tasks/chores as well. It's fun and most of all its healthy! I hope you're the right family for me. My hopes are that we connect upon reading a little bit about me and my way of parenting or caring for children.
