Hi there!
My name is Lindsay and I have just moved to the Nelson area. I am looking for part-time to full-time work as a live-out nanny, or some type of work caring for children/helping out in the home. I would prefer part-time work (25 hours/week or so) because I am also taking full-time online classes to be a teacher's assistant. I love working with children (hence my schooling to be a teachers assistant) and I am enthusiastic about cooking, gardening, animals, art and could also help do some cleaning around the house, or go grocery shopping, anything that is needed! I have a vehicle, current First Aid and Food Safe. I'm also passionate about the outdoors, so would not be shy to take the kids on a trip to the park or what have you. I also have experience tutoring elementary students with their school work, so could help kids with their homework as well! I have quite a bit of experience working with children. I have tutored a 6 year old 1 on 1 who needed help with his homework. I worked for the City of Calgary for 2 years facilitating after school programs and summer-day camps. I just finished completing 6 months volunteering in an elementary school. I am currently completing online classes to be a teacher's assistant. My last employment I was working in group homes with people with disabilities, helping individuals with their daily tasks. I was making $17 an hour at that job. Because of my experience and my last job wage, I would prefer to make at least $13 an hour, but that wage is negotiable. Thank you!
