Kelsey, garde d’enfant à domicile - T4P Red deer north

Hello there! I am a 26 year old Red Deer College student and I am currently searching for a summer job. I have many years of experience working with children, and I would love to continue to do so in my summers off from my education. I have taught dance for the past 10 years, and have worked with children of many ages. Aside from dance, I was an Educational Assistant at Grandview Elementary school where I was responsible for a boy with cerebral palsy and a boy with severe behaviour problems. I also did respite care for a summer through Catholic Social Services with two Autistic children. Last summer I was responsible for creating and implementing the Summer Reading Program, as well as co­creating the Summer Fun Program for the Town of Penhold. The range of children I have worked with and their different behaviours and needs has taught me many valuable skills and shown me the rewards of working with youth. I am very energetic and creative and I especially love working with young children, as their joy for life and excitement for day to day activities is infectious. I am very excited to be heading into a career that will allow me to continue my passion for teaching youth and I would love to have the opportunity to continue that into the summer months as well.
I have currently completed the second year of my Bachelor of Education at Red Deer College, and will be continuing on to my third year in September.
