June 17, 2015 To whom it may concern, I have had the pleasure of having Salva in my employ for the past 3.5 years as our nanny to our twin daughters. When I began the search for daycare on my maternity leave, I experienced how challenging it was to find placement in Toronto, especially for twins. Fortunately, I met Salva through family, and my daycare stress melted away as soon as we met. I knew I found the right person to take care of my girls after I went back to work. At the first meeting, Salva was insistent on taking care of the girls during the interview. I would ask her questions while she changed diapers, fed them or cleaned up toys. Her enthusiasm for jumping right in was exciting to see. My girls took to her immediately, and I decided very quickly to offer Salva the job. That same can do attitude and enthusiasm has continued over the years. Salva has made a name for herself in our community, as she is very passionate about socializing the girls in larger group play. Since they were 18 months old, Salva has taken the girls to a local drop in center, where they have made friends, learned new words in different languages, tried new foods, played new games, created amazing artwork, and grown into the very well-rounded little girls we have today. Salva also has a passion for teaching. Our girls, at age 3, could spell and write their names, count to 20, say their alphabet and do math on their fingers – all because Salva included learning time into their everyday schedules. Our girls also regularly visit our local library branch, where they read new stories and participate in even more community programs. Our girls are more than ready to attend school in the fall. My husband and I truly believe that without Salva, the girls wouldn’t be as far along academically as they are. I highly recommend you consider Salva for the opportunity you have available. We have lived a very comfortable home life since Salva joined us. We have never come home to a messy house, unorganized children or a problem of any kind. We always get a report of the girls day, including what challenges arose (that were of course taken care of). We are very sad to see Salva go, as she has become a part of our family. We wish her all the best in her future, as it will be very successful in whatever it is she does next.
