Hello Parents,
My name is Emily and I am 18 years of age. That being said, you already probably know that puts me around the age of a recent high school graduate, which is true! I graduated from Simonds High January of 2018. I worked really hard so I could get ahead and start making a living and to give me time to travel and figure out what it is I wanted to do this upcoming school year. Throughout my time while the others were in school I worked at Tim Hortons full time on a 6am to 2pm shift, then darted down the road to look after two lovely girls until their parents arrived home at 5. I did so until school let out and then I took on my usual summer boys and countinued looking after the girls... that's right, all four children all summer long. So maybe you're wondering what I'm doing on here? Well, the kids are going to be going back to school soon and I have decided to take an online business program and will have some free time throughout the day and am looking to use that time to look after children.
So a little more about myself...
I am from a family of 6, and am the youngest (unfortunately). I have two brothers, one married and living in Sussex and one in Fairview Alberta. I also have a sister, she and her husband live in Vernon BC, and are parents to my newest little love, my neice Laska! My passions include my small but growing photography business, working with animals (my 3 horses) , traveling to see new places and family, the great outdoors and of course, children. I work really hard to develop plans for each day while I babysit. Some might include, crafts, planting flowers to watch grow, nature walks, a ride in my miniature horses cart, day trips to aquariums, the zoo or Brunswick nurseries, picnics, you get the picture, I like to keep them busy and learning all the while you receive photos throughout the day of their little adventures (the photographer in me).
I've been looking after children (and many of them) since I was able to and of all different ages and personalities so whatever age bracket your children are in, works well for me.

As a very experience babysitter I have come to know my rates well. Through out the years I've been paid far too little, or a substantial amount and have come to realize a happy medium. My rates are set so that your child is well enthused and we can travel to different locations (parks, pools, etc) and it doesn't cost me to do so. They are also set at a place where caring for children can be both my passion and make for a decent income while I'm in school and bills pile up.
