Liz, jeune fille au pair - E4L Sackville

My name is Liz Kent, I'm 22 years old and I'm graduating this year from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology with a double minor in English Lit and Anthropology. I am looking to work either part-time or full-time as I enjoy the company of children. This type of opportunity is exciting to me as I am planning on pursuing a career in social work with youth.

I have had babysitting experience before with Professor's children as well as experience in supervising a young girl with autism. I am a patient, attentive, and energetic individual who loves music, crafts, painting, being outside, and relaxing. I enjoy cooking and making it fun in the process. I sing, play cello and guitar but I also love soccer and swimming. I really enjoy taking children for walks and learning about them. While listening to them, I also like to try to expand their interests by, for example, reading books to them or showing them a youtube video. While I enjoy having fun, I am also conscious of their safety and physical/mental well-being. Furthermore, I possess a certificate in Mental Health First Aid and I run a open forum group for those with mental illnesses, therefore, I am sensitive to the feelings of other and am able to be vigilant of students’ mental health and disabilities.

I take direction, criticism, and suggestion extremely well, and recognize the value of learning from my mistakes. In addition, I am more than capable of quickly and easily adapting to the normal pace of things. Finally, I enjoy making others happy and draw great satisfaction from a job well done.
