Hey there!
My name is Ashley and I’m a 2013 UBC B.A. of psychology graduate. I have a wide history of experience with part-time positions, but have always had a soft spot for working with children, and studying infant psychology.
Since I was basically still a kid myself I have been babysitting children of family friends and my many, many cousins in my large extended family. After that I began to take more regular positions with children ranging from newborns to adolescents. My most exciting position so far in this field was a one-month au pair/nanny experience in Montreal during the summer of 2010. I’m currently for looking to provide anything from casual to regular childcare here in Nanaimo, which I have recently moved to.
As a working university student I learned the importance of being organized, reliable and responsible, and I can assure you I am all three. Also, I know how important it is for a child/children to be comfortable and have fun with their babysitter! My creativity and use of my academic major (psychology) leads me to believe that I can do my best to understand children so that both of us can truly enjoy our time spent together. I enjoy dance, guitar, piano and many outdoor activities that I would love to share. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
