Hello, my name is Sarah Kuhn I'm 23 years old and I am a very eager to learn and further my career in childcare. Im looking more so in the nanny field so I can connect better with the children and spend more time one on one with them versus a large group.
I am a very open, warm and approachable person, I like to get down on the child's level and talk too them versus talking at them. I take constructive critism well and encourage it. I love being around children it makes me feel young and keeps me on my toes.
I currently work at a day care in the toddler room with ages 18 months too 3 years old. I previously worked in the junior room which was ages 3 years old to 4 years. In my day care we work with a variety of ages so I have worked with all age groups.
Before the day care I worked at the HRSB Excel morning and after school program which was children ages 4 years old to 9-10. As the head instructor I was in charge of tbe programming and grocery order so eating healthy was very important.
Also I was a nanny for a year in New York too two wonderful children. It was a wonderful experience and I learned a lot, the youngest child taught me a little bit of sign language which I can still remember a little bit of. Sign language would be something I would be interested I earning more of.
I love doing arts and crafts, science experiments, outdoor activities such as walks, biking, swimming, and many other things. I like going out with the children too things like playgroups, library shows, discovery centre just out of the house to let the children experience other things and learn from them.
