Shelby, gardienne d'enfant à Nelson

I am a 23 year old female from Nelson BC. I have lived here all my life. I have training in ECE (early childhood education) studied at Selkirk College in Castlegar BC. I am very outgoing, and have an extremely playful and fun personality. I have always been the type of person that draws attention to myself and is always the life of the party. Children seem to latch on to me and get very attached within hours of being together. Not only do I enjoy looking after the kids, but my goal is at the end of the day is i want to make sure the children are fed, bathed, educated, and most of all happy. I feel comfortable to either wake the children up and get them prepared for school/day and I can also bathe them and put them to bed. Everything I do with the children during the day is always done in a safe environment, and i give each child the same amount of attention and affection. A healthy meal is very important to me - junk food has its time and place, but it is not on my list of snacks i would provide for the children. I always make sure there is fruit and vegetables included throughout the day for snacks and with their meal (depending on what the parent has left out for me to cook). Given the age of the child, i think it is very important to set a time and arrange a calm and tidy environment for the child to sit down and do homework. I would explain that if they needed help or i noticed they were having problems concentrating i would sit down next to them and we would solve the problems together. A reward is often appropriate upon completion. However, I would never go against the parents rules if they dont want me to give any type of food, candy, or toys as rewards because i respect each parent's method for raising their children. I am very appreciative that you took the time to read this, and i hope you will consider me to be apart of the children's lives by babysitting or being their nanny. Thank You. :)
