Please accept my enthusiastic intent to provide great care for your children. During my initial career I was a Military Medic for more than 15 years, including two years working on a Pediatric Ward, On this ward I was treating babies and young children with both life-threatening and non life-threatening health conditions. Since then, I have graduated the Early Childhood Education program at Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology in Belleville. I have completed some post grad studies at the Canadian Mothercraft Society in Toronto. Lastly completed two courses online through Arundle County Maryland, Department of Health: 1) Taking Care of a Baby, and 2) Home Safety for Babies and Young Children. I have extensive experience working with newborns, babies and young children, and I am a great candidate for this position.
My expertise begins with umbilical care to and including potty training, older siblings are welcome also.
My Baby Care includes:
- Diaper changing -- Disposable or cloth diapers (Much experience with both)
- Feedings as directed by you
- Preparing bottles (Including washing, sterilizing, making formula etc.)
- Bathing your baby as required.
- Straightening baby's room and replacing soiled linen
- Do Baby's Laundry (Cloth diapers, clothing, linen etc.)
- While your baby is awake, age appropriate activities are provided.
A Journal will be kept about your Baby.
Regular recorded entries will include:
- Date and time when care started and finished
- Feeds (What, how much, how feeding was tolerated)
- Diaper changes (Wet or soiled, large or small amount)
- Activities your baby was provided with (How the activity went)
- Your baby's temperament (example due to Teething, Rashes etc.)
- Your baby's sleep pattern (when settled to sleep and when awakened)
- I provide age appropriate activities daily for inside and outdoors.
