Michelle, garde d’enfant à Kamloops central and southeast

My name is Michelle , I'm a recent college graduate from a Community Support Worker - Social Services diploma program at Sprott Shaw College. During my program there were in depth child development courses and I obtained an Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate. Many years ago I completed a babysitting course as well. Following the completion of my classroom studies at college I was given the freedom to choose my own practicum site. I chose Family Tree Family Centre, where most of my duties where based around child minding for the mothers who participated in the programs offered at the Centre. I really enjoyed working with the children, facilitating educational activities for them, and building trusting relationships with the children. I often say that I would have loved to have studied Early Childhood Education as opposed to what I originally chose, due to my interest in children.
