Hello!
My name is Brianna and I am a Child and Youth Worker. It has always been a passion of mine to work with young minds. I graduated from the Child and Youth Worker program and I feel that the experience and skills I gained in this program provided me with the ability to work with all types of children. I take great pleasure in having had the opportunity to work with many youth in my educational and professional career. I have experince with typically developing children, as well as children with varying disabilities. I have also worked in a large range of child centred environments. I have worked in mulitple homes as an In-home Worker. Here, I have been the sole caretaker for children ages 0-15 for up to 10 hours at a time. I have worked in the home as well as in the community with these children. I have worked long-term with most of these families (one family I worked with for four years and another for two years). I thourougly enjoyed my time with these families and built great relationships I will value forever. During my time as an In-home Worker, I also became approved to be an alternate caregiver for foster chikdren involved with the Children's Aid Society of Windsor. I have been the sole caretaker of an infant for up to 30 hours at a time (had the child in my care overnight). This role helped me gain a large amount of knowlege and experience regarding infants. Aside from being an In-home Worker, I have had experience working as a Youth Group Facilitator for Big Brothers Big Sister WE. I volunteered in the Go Girls! Program as a facilitator for a group of females aged 11-13. I was hired by BBBS once a position for a Summer Camp Facilitator came about. I worked here for the summer with both males and females aged 6-17.
Furthermore, I have experience in Day Care Centres, Montessori's, and within the Public/Catholic School System.
I have enjoyed each and every role I have been in while working with children and youth and I look forward to the opportunity to provide my skills and knowledge to other young people.
