Amber, garde enfant à Amherstburg

I am a college student at St Clair in Windsor, I am in the Child and Youth Care program. I start my second year in September. I have placement May 4 - June 12 (part of my program requires mandatory work in a school with children). I am 19 years old. Originally from Saskatchewan. I love helping kids, a big factor in why I chose my program. I am up front, may be shy at first, and try to get to know the child(ren) and the parenting style before I completely immerse myself into a situation. I've looked after many children, ages vary. The parents were all satisfied with my abilities. I help as much as I can with children's school work, clean up around the house (if it doesn't cause a problem with parents), and I am able to cook. I took a course in September, that required all students to come up with appropriate games/activities/crafts for the children. So I have some ability to come up with activities on the spot. I would prefer to pre-plan activities based on the children's likes.
