Melanie, garde d’enfant à Division No. 2

My name is Melanie , I am a 19 years old and grew up in a big family of 10 (soon to be 11) children. I speak German as my first language but have lived in Canada for most of my life so my Englisch is fluent as well. I did a lot of babysitting for my mother growing up and in school, my Family Community Major exposed me to preschool aged children (ages 4-6) on almost a daily basis. My experience with the preschool included; engaging with the children during snack time, creating and carrying out lesson plans, joining the children for playtime/cleanup time, and assisting them with their lessons.
At home I played a big role in playing with my younger siblings, keeping them entertained, and toilet training them.
The care I would like to provide would be casual (evenings), playing with the children, providing snacks if need be, reading to them and preparing them for bed.
