I grew up the eldest child of three, and that meant I got to have a lot of hands-on experience in terms of taking care of younger children. I'm 21 now, and still live at home, and I'm usually the first caregiver my younger siblings go to. I love to sit with kids and watch them learn new things. It's such a thrill to see how their young minds work, since they have such a vast imagination! Being creative myself, I always strive to help children explore their imagination and creativity, in hopes that they will grow up with their childhood magic rather than let it slip away.
In the past, I've babysat (as a 4-5 day a week job) other children, and treated them with the kindness they deserve. I would like to have a job where I see the kids a few times a week, but weekend babysitting jobs are fine, as well. Children are really fun to be around, and I just love how innocent they are! They have really great insight, and I hope to possibly work with children as a career later on in life.
As for activities and things I enjoy doing: I play the ukulele, I am artistic (painting and drawing, reading and writing, even drama), I love music of all sorts (but especially classical or instrumental pieces), and keeping myself independently engaged is something I feel strongly about. I love going for walks and exploring surrounding areas, as it makes me feel closer to nature and more able to think introspectively.
Babysitting ponctuel | $7,50 de l’heure |
Garde partielle / périscolaire | $9,00 de l’heure |
I have babysat children other than my siblings as a part-time job, and I was paid around 10-13$ an hour. I am really flexible in terms of pay, but I think it mostly depends on how many children, and their ages, that I will be taking care of. These rates seem pretty standard to me just to start with.
