Hi, My name is Kelsey and I graduated from UPEI two years ago with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (with my main focus on Child Psychology). Since then I have enrolled into the Early Educator program at Holland Collage and I`am now two course away from becoming certified to work as a educator in a early learning centre. I've always known from a very young age that I wanted a career working with children. Children are full of happiness and curiosity and are just a joy to be around; it is so rewarding to be able to play a part in a child's everyday learning. I have many years of experience working with children of various ages and differing abilities. I currently Work at Murphy's After School & Summer camp where there I work with large groups of children ages 4-12. My duties there include supervising group play, facilitating group activities (ex.bowling field trips, outdoor park play, gym games, talent shows, crafts, etc.), preparing and serving snacks and lunches, keeping track of children's` attendance throughout the day, assisting children with homework & hygiene (ex. dressing themselves, tying their shoes, sun-screening, etc.)and interacting with children as they play. Right now I'm available in the evenings/night after I finish work at the centre and available all day Saturday and Sunday.
