I'm a mother of 4 and a gramma of 2, 3yrs and 18mos. My grand children live in BC and I wish I could spend more time with them. I really enjoy children. I think they're very funny in their honesty. I believe I can make a difference in a childs life by simply engaging them in play. I remember being exhausted as a young parent and putting on movies to keep them occupied so I could fix a meal or just relax for a bit. I understand it. I would like parents to know that when you get home, if you need to throw a movie on to get some stuff done, that your child has had stimulation today and has not been in front of a screen all day.
I am a mature responsible woman who would not have my phone stuck to my hand nor sit children in front of an electronic instrument of any kind. I like to engage children in make believe play like barbies, crafts or drawing. I also like to take them outside. If the parents want me to I will also teach them life skills like making their bed, making a sandwich tying their shoelaces or other such things.
