Laura, baby-sitter - E3B Fredericton south new brunswick provincial government

My name is Laura , I'm from Moncton and I currently go to school here in Fredericton at Saint Thomas University. I'm in my third year and after i graduate i plan on going into education to become a kindergarten teacher. I have worked with all different age groups of children, for example i worked at a playschool for two summers where i planned their whole day out and interacted with the kids. We played many educational games, which I am a huge fan of, and had healthy snacks. Two summers ago i started working at the Boys and Girls Club in Riverview where i also planed activities for the kids and most times looked after a max of 15 kids alone at a time. I also am the main leader for a Sparks group, where i plan every meeting as well as camps and sleepovers. Making sure they always learn something each meeting. I have been the main leader the past two years and the 4 years before that i was a helper. While in high school I participated in YMCA tutoring, which is twice a week a child from an elementary school would get dropped off in a class room at our school and we would work on their homework or just general skills their were struggling with. During high school i also volunteered as a junior leader for summer camps for about 3 years, here i got many ideas for songs and games.
