Lindsey, baby-sitting - L2V St. catharines southeast

Hello. I am currently working as a full time night nanny for children ages 2, 8, 9, and 10. I would not be leaving this family as I adore working for them but I am relocating to the Niagara area in december.
As a sitter I believe in interacting with the children as much as possible. I have been teaching the girls how to crochet, expanding their vocabularies, helping them with the difficulty of having parents that are separated and lending an attentive ear to their everyday troubles. Sometimes I take my guitar in and sing with them. I was going to start teaching them to play the flute.
For the 2 year old there is lots of snuggling and comfort and reassurance. She is on medication for seizures, has a club foot and must sleep in a brace every night. In the beginning she had to be rocked to sleep every night because she hated her crib (aparantly she had seizures at night and was scared of the crib). But now I have her on a bedtime routine where I read to her and sit with her until she falls asleep.
I have potty trained children before, and dealt with a special needs 11 year old boy as a respite nanny for one summer.
I do speak some mandarin. For more than five years I lived in southren China and taught English to children of all ages. Grade 1 was my favorite.
I am an animal lover and fine with pitching in there as well.
