Emily, baby-sitting - K9L Peterborough (terra view heights / woodland acres / donwood)

Dear Family,

My name is Emily. I am a 18 year old female. Will be turning 19 in June 2016.I am currently a student at Trent University in Peterborough Ontario, Although my home town is Cornwall Ontario. I am studying at Trent University to become a social worker.

I come from a family of 6: My parents and 3 sisters. My eldest sister Trinity is 21 years old and is a early childhood educator. My other sister Katelyn is 20 who is currently studying at Queens University in Kingston Ontario. Then there is Amber who is my twin sister.
My hobbies include swimming in which i have up to level 10 of swimming lessons.I love to paint and draw, swell as read and play soft ball. I have grown up in a small town, although enjoy being in the country and enjoy the nature, Such as camping and outdoor sports.
In about 3 years I plan to become a bachelor of social work.
My first language is English. Although I am currently practicing the language of American sign language as another hobby.

I have looked after children in both informal and fomal contexts. Last year, as part of my final year in high school studies, I spent 4 months working in the grade 7 and 8 classes assisting them with their school work. I also had the experience of doing a co-operative education placement at a day care in my hometown. Working with children in the toddler classroom. At this placement I organized activities indoor and outdoor for the children. We sang, danced, played games, drew and painted.
Due to being the youngest child, I was not able to help my parents with my siblings, although I have recently became an aunt to a beautiful baby boy. Which allows me to help my sister with my nephew when needed. He will be 2 in June 2016. I have had the experience of not only spending time with my newphew but also spending nights with him by my self, Also allowing me to gain experience taking care of an infant. I can comfortably say that I enjoy working and spending time with children.

I am looking for a family that would love to have me in their home while watching their children. I will be available Monday 8am- 4pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday all day anytime.
