Catherine, baby-sitter - M6H West toronto (dufferin / dovercourt village)

Hi! I am a university student, hoping to major in Child Psychology. Most of my experience with children has been through volunteering at summer camps and babysitting family friend's kids. I am fluent in English, Portuguese. I also know French not as fluently but I have taken it throughout high school and continue to take it in university. I am responsible, take initiative, very enthusiastic and creative. I am also active, I have been swimming for 15 years. I am comfortable going on outings with your children to the park or a pool (if weather permits in the summer.), I also do not mind doing arts and crafts or other activities that you would like your child to participate in. I also play the piano and would be willing to teach the basics.
I have babysat for family and family friends. I have volunteered at the YMCA as the swim instructor's assistant. Where I helped 4-6 year old swim and feel safe in the water. I initiated aquatic games to help the kids adjust to the water. I also volunteered at the Art Gallery of Ontario as an assistant counsellor. I provided the children with care, helped them with their crafts and played with them. I am also currently volunteering at a school where I help children become more confident readers.
