My name is Mandy. It is my pleasure to introduce myself. I would ask that you consider me for the creative, safe and expert care provider you need for your child (children).

My love for child-care comes from a place rooted deep inside my soul; ever since a young age I have had a strong love and passion to care for children. The experiences I have loved the most, when caring for a child are: unlimited smiles, bear hugs, spontaneous dancing, laughing and silly faces. I see that the work I do is not only contributing to the growth of your child but also creating a beautiful world future.

I excel at child-care because I not only create a safe and healthy environment for the growth of your child but because I nourish their mind, body and soul with nutritious food, dance/music, belly laughs and unconditional love.A few things that are unique about me: is my love for dance, music, art, and yoga. I sing and have been playing guitar for over four years. I would enjoy sharing my love for music with your child. I have been interested in cooking and healthy natural nutrition from a very young age. Presently I am exploring vegan cooking and am working more with raw food styles. We often think that “healthy” excludes ‘tasty’ but I think that nourishing foods should taste wonderful too. I would be willing to share my love of good food with your child and learning the art of food preparation would be one the activities that I would offer your child.

My little sister was born when I was 10 years old. I was entrusted with most of the day to day tasks of child care. I also had many babysitting jobs since I was eleven years old. While still a full time student, I worked as an occasional (part time) staff employee at the Goderich YMCA for 11 months in the childcare department.

I have received the YMCA Swim Instructor Certification, completed my Standard First Aid with CPR- C and have my Principles of Healthy Child Development Certificate.

I am currently enrolled in the Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training offered at East Street Station and will be fully certified October 2015. I believe that my personal interests in enrichment not only nourish my life, but create a positive atmosphere and mindset for your child to explore new and exciting things. Most of all, I am a happy and fulfilled individual and I think learning is an adventure in itself.

I will be graduating from Goderich District Collegiate Institute, June 2015. I am not enrolled in high school classes this semester which makes me available not only on weekends and evenings but also during the regular work day.

I feel that a childcare position is the best opportunity to offer what I do best.
