Hi there!

My name is Shaelyn , I am 18 years old (19 in August!) and will have completed my first year in Nursing by the Summer of 2016 along with a 2 week clinical in a nursing home setting.

Growing up, I was raised in a big family (7of us kids) so being around kids is my absolute favourite! I have experience in babysitting my little sister (9 years old now) since she was young so I believe I have a quality working knowledge on how to care for children. In addition to babysitting my little sister, I have 2 years experience coaching children ages 4-7 soccer skills, engaging them in activities and aiding in their physical development.

Due to my time spent with kids, I believe I have built upon my ability to care for and engage children, to ensure they remain safe in their environment while enjoying whatever activity they may be completing.

As for my personality, I am a very outgoing, positive, energetic person who is exceptionally determined in all aspects of life. I am quick on my feet and can problem solve easily which is key when caring for children as solutions don't always come so easily for them!
