To begin, I would like to inform the parental readers of my experience in child care. It is limited, but I began at a young age. I started babysitting when I was twelve years old consistently for one family. The children were 5 and 8 years old at the time. I babysat them until the oldest child was able to care for her brother alone. When I was nineteen I traveled to Spain and was an Au Pair for a family with four boys (aged: 6 months, 2 years, 7 years and 9 years). My main responsibilities were looking after the two oldest boys: picking them up from school, entertaining them, speaking English with them and putting them to bed. The family had a cook/house-keeper/nanny that looked after the two youngest boys when the mother was occupied. I was with this family for three months.

My other experience arrives from a personal interest, which is that I love being around children. I enjoy engaging in their imaginative worlds, I enjoy educating them about nature (I have a degree in biology, specifically botany and have always loved gardening), I enjoy seeing the world from a fresh perspective.

As previously mentioned, I have a degree from the University of Victoria and am presently figuring out where I should go from here, career-wise. Thus, I am looking for part-time work in Victoria, both that helps me out financially and that I enjoy. Caring for children is something that I enjoy.

I am a responsible individual. I can be stern when necessary, but most of the time I am generally a happy, cheerful person. I enjoy the outdoors, but also partake in many indoor activities, typically when the season is not so fair. The outdoor activities include: hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, gardening, and more. The indoor activities include: reading, playing card or board games, watching movies or shows, and more.
