I am a single parent with a wonderful and vivacious 13 y/o son. We have a small hobby farm in the country that is home to a selection of friendly farm animals and beautiful vegetable gardens. When children come to stay with me, it is a new adventure everyday. Children love to experience the animals, pick bright red tomatoes and hunt for eggs. Not only is it fun, it's learning about life, appreciating nature and making healthy choices.
I keep the number of children that come to stay with us small so we can enjoy new activities each day and so that each child is made to feel like a friend.
I am outgoing, friendly and hard working and I love to share my appreciation of nature and the great outdoors with children. My goal is to encourage imagination and play, creative thinking and problem solving. Snacks and meals will be made from the gardens as much as possible and children will be encouraged to harvest them themselves, learning and appreciating where their food comes from.
