I am extremely creative (I am a part time artist). I have over 3 years experience as a Childcare assistant, as well as 1 year of Early Childhood Education post secondary education. I am caring, nurturing, fun, and imaginative.
I am looking to babysit/ provide care for children during the evenings and weekends. I do have a job Monday through Friday during the day.
Like adults, children tend to learn more when it is something that interests them. I like to try incorporate those interests in doing things that nurture their social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language abilities. For example, a child likes robots. We could play a game of robot tag, make robots out of boxes, read a story about robots, etc. We would then build on that through discussion, storytelling, etc.
It is just an estimate. I prefer to charge 5.00 per child per hour but the system doesn't give me that option. Rates are always negotiable. I do have one year of Early Childhood Education training and am a certified Childcare Assistant, so rates are going to be a little bit higher than someone who doesn't have this educational/employment background.
